COTTON STREET

A 13-part character-led Scottish crime drama

A young woman’s murder on the streets of Aberdeen opens an investigation that will stretch across cities and decades.
As further victims emerge, detectives begin to uncover connections that should not exist — connections leading back to childhood, the care system, and a past that was never truly buried.
Cotton Street asks not only who killed them, but who they were before they became evidence.

THE SERIES

A 13-part character-led Scottish crime drama set in Aberdeen — the Silver City by the Sea.

The complete series has been written and developed for television, following a murder investigation that begins on the streets of Aberdeen before reaching far beyond the city and into events buried decades earlier.

At its heart, Cotton Street is not simply about solving a series of murders. It is about the lives behind them — and the consequences of a past that refuses to remain buried.

THE WORLD

Aberdeen is more than the setting of Cotton Street. It is part of its identity.

The granite streets, harbour communities and North Sea provide the backdrop to a contemporary crime story rooted in a city shaped by industry, migration and generations of change.

Known as the Silver City by the Sea, Aberdeen can appear hard and unforgiving — but beneath the granite is a resilient community and a city whose character runs through the drama.

THE STORY CONTINUES

Cotton Street brings its central investigation to a conclusion, but the relationships forged through the case leave further stories to tell.

The case ends. The characters continue.
